Paddle rack construction and paddling

While the gang was out paddling this morning Fred was making some much needed repairs in the boathouse...Thanks Fred! This morning a group from FCRCC was out to test drive the BUK dragon boat, they liked the boat and were impressed with our boat cover. Today's training group consisted of Graham, Brock, Keith, Heide, Micky, John, Catherine and Katja in K1, Jeff in C1 and K1 and Lauren in C1. We were treated by a calm day on the water and no rain, although the rowers reported some light flurries earlier in the morning.

Dragon Boat Cover

Foggy morning on Burnaby Lake. Our CRBC sponsored BUK dragon boat now has a spiffy new McNie cover to protect it from the elements, and of course it hasn't rained since we put it on the boat! Today Bob's Deep Cove dragon boat group was out to test drive the BUK. Our regular training group consisted of Heide and Katja (K2/K1), Darrell (K1), Keith (K1), Jeff (C1/K1), Rikst and Lauren (C2/C1).

Keith is back!

Conditions were fantastic this morning, the lake was flat calm and it only started raining lightly at the end of our session. Pictured here are Cheslav and Jeff who were joined by Lauren in C-1 and Katja, Micky and Keith in K-1. Keith has just returned to paddling after dislocating his shoulder at the start of a race at the World Masters Games in Edmonton back in July.
