Altitude Training

This afternoon some of the BCKC masters group took advantage of the outdoors opportunities provided by living in our Vancouver paradise. Following our morning paddling or biking session a few of us headed up to Mount Seymour for an afternoon hike. John, Jeff, Katja and Dan stand on top of the 3rd Peak of Mnt Seymour, 1453 m above sea level. The round trip distance was 9 km which took about 3 hours, aided by the black flies that chased us down the mountain. Yesterday a group of BCKCers took part in the Tour de Indian Arm, a 17 km ocean race. BCKCers Micky and Jeff finished 3rd in mens HPDK paddling a double Fenn Mako surf ski, John partnered with Ben to finish 4th in mens HPDK paddling a Fanfare K2 while Katja and Heide finished 1st in womens DK paddling an Accord K2.
