Tonight was BCKC's awards evening. We had a great turnout of athletes and parents as well as the welcome surprise of MJ and Dick joining the fun. Lynn awarded the youth paddlers some very creative and entertaining awards, I'm sure created with Boss 2 (cousin Julie). Pictured above are Conor, Rebecca, Emily, Jim and Kiran with the awards these athletes presented to Lynn and Jeff. Thank you, both Lynn and I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Lynn has also introduced the following new awards to recognize outstanding peformance by our athletes and exceptional contribution by our volunteers. Crewboat of the Year recognized the achievements of the BCKC masters war canoe team. Volunteer of the Year recognized the outstanding contributions of Dave Nosella. Commodore's Award to recognize outstanding contributions to Burnaby Canoe & Kayak Club. Special thanks to the Dagenais family for their generous donation of this very special plaque.
