Xmas practise

We got an early start to this morning's practise under cool, wet conditions. Lynn was wearing most of her outdoor wear wardrobe to try to stay warm. The paddling group consisted of Conor, Jim, Kiran, Katja and Dan, while Jeff did the lake run.

Finally a calm day

A nearly perfect day on the lake - except it could be a few degrees warmer. After waiting out a few storm warnings in late Nov early Dec with lots of snow and winds up to 90km/hr we are back in the boats. Kiran, Katja and Jeff came out to practice on Saturday while many others in the Vancouver area went up the local ski hills (in the background).

Ice free lake

The last of the ice has been broken up this morning and the wind has blown it off the lake. I expect the water will be rather chilly but the lake is now open for paddling again.
