Okanagan Weekend

BCKC members John, Jeff, Keith and Katja, participated in a 10km race on Okanagan Lake this weekend. Jeff, paddling his Think Evo surfski, finished 3rd overall in a field of 40 odd boats consisting of OC1, OC2 and surfskis. After the race Jeff and Katja visited Keith and Mary who now live in Peachland to enjoy some more warm water paddling and to practise self rescues. The warm, clear water of Okanagan Lake makes falling in a real treat compared to the cold ocean or swampy lakes in Vancouver.
